About the workshop: Digital photography is great, but it's easy to fall into the trap of shooting 1000-plus images during a portrait session. Fewer shots equal less time after the shoot. A smaller number of images delivered to the client often results in higher sales. As a professional photographer, it's your job to make every shot count, your livelihood (and your sanity) depends on it! 

During an on-location portrait session (think high school senior) I shoot very intentionally. Watch the backgrounds, angles, expressions....everything....to make sure my subject is flattered and it's close to perfect before I shoot. Why waste time shooting something that you're never going to use or you're going to have to spend a lot of time fixing? Shooting intentionally will not only improve your photography, it will improve your quality of life.
